Chiesa e campo San Maurizio

Onto this field, which during Carnival witnesses the vivacious participation of the Compagnia della Calza I Antichi, face the classical Church of St. Maurice (architects Diedo and Selva), and numerous palazzi, among them Palazzo Bellavite which contained frescoes by Paul Veronese and which was the home of the poet Giorgio Baffo and also of Alessandro Manzoni, who lived there from 1803 to 1804.
